Rugged North Rim   This is a closer view of the Grand Canyon North Rim mountains. It was cold and kind of hazy and dark even though it was already May. What really attracted my attention is the enormous might of this canyon. It's so close and yet so distant. We met a young couple some time ago on the South Rim that just had finished the hike coming from the North Rim. They mentioned the beauty and also the strain they experienced. They were happy and totally exhausted.
