Blanche and Bill Russell who were living in the Stone House would have had this view in the morning when they stepped out of the door. Of course it would have been peaceful, no highway like now next to it.

Cliff Dwellers Stone House
This is the side view of the Stone House looking at the chimney, the roof (being a huge boulder) and the Hwy 89A in the background. It belonged to Blanche and Bill Russell in the 1930th who settled here when their car broke down. The structure was built with stacked rocks against a large fallen boulder. Later they converted the house into a roadside trading post.

Life Under A Boulder
This is the Cliff Dwellers Stone House that belonged to Blanche and Bill Russell in the 1930th who settled here when their car broke down on their move to the West. The structure was built with stacked rocks against a large fallen boulder which is the roof. Later they converted the house into a roadside trading post.
