Mountains touching the Sky

This scenery attracted my attention because the rock formation is so dark in the sun light and the sky was really bright. This range is close to Marble Canyon and the Navajo Bridge in Arizona.

Monument Valley

Leaving Monument Valley on Hwy 163 South towards Kayenta, there is this beautiful mountain range on the right side. A beautiful play of light and shadow sent us on our way.

Wild Roaming Horses

Monument Valley has lots of exciting sceneries, wild dogs, cayotes and also horses. Maybe they go home to the little form but they are roaming the desert totally free.

Misty Morning

The huge mountains in Monument Valley are always impressive, and that morning with the mist in the air was very special. But what really attracted my attention were those little flowers and grass pads shining in the morning light at the border of the road.

Desert Plants at Monument Valley

This was just before sunrise, the monuments in the distance were still covered with morning haze and it looked like the beginning of another hot day. The desert plants were dry and could definitely use some rain. Hopefully soon they will get relief.

Mexican Hat in Utah.

Wild West Horses

This is how horses live in the deserts. It's really hot in the summer and cold in the winter. No trees, no grass, nothing cozy to lay down on. And no one around to cuddle or talk to. It's absolutely a tough life, and not just for the horses (and we have seen a number of wild horses searching for water). The same goes for coyotes and rabbits and birds and even humans. It’s beautiful but rough.

God's Creation

A moment like this is really humbling to an artist. Nature/God is the greatest creator any moment of any day. - We parked on Hwy 89A looking into the wide desert below and saw the clouds moving away with the full sun taking over with a golden light.
